Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Your stuff is here to help you, not to train AI or sell ads.
We store what you send to Peerie so we can organize it, help you find it, answer your questions, and show relevant upcoming reminders. We do not use your submissions, questions, or answers to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information or use your content for advertising. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
Who we are
Peerie is operated by Adaptive Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website, email service, and My Peerie.
What we collect and store
We collect your email address and any additional addresses confirmed on your shared account; your account preferences; and content you choose to submit, including emails, text, files, photos, and links. We store copies of submitted content, extracted text, summaries and other information derived from it, questions, answers, and source references.
We also process technical information needed to run and protect the service, such as IP addresses, access and delivery logs, timestamps, file types and sizes, processing status, and AI request usage. You can use Peerie without giving us access to your entire inbox: we receive the messages you send or forward to us.
How we use it
We use your information to provide Peerie: store and organize your submissions, scan files for threats, extract text and information, retrieve content from links you submit, make your content searchable, answer questions, and show relevant upcoming events or deadlines. Some processing happens when you submit content or open My Peerie, before you ask a question.
We use your email for access links, confirmations, account invitations, answers, optional acknowledgement receipts, and necessary service or security notices. We also use information as needed to provide support, fix problems, prevent abuse, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not repurpose your content for advertising, data brokerage, or training AI models.
AI processing and service providers
Relevant portions of your content may be sent to AI providers to extract information, prepare summaries, answer your questions, or generate your upcoming highlights. This is processing your information to provide your service; it is not training a model on your personal knowledge.
We use service providers to deliver Peerie, including DigitalOcean for hosting and storage, Resend for email, Cloudflare for network and website services, and OpenAI for AI processing. These providers receive information needed for their work and may retain information under their applicable service and security policies. OpenAI documents that API data is not used for model training by default. Processing and storage may occur in the United States or other locations where our providers operate.
We do not promise that data never leaves our servers or that providers retain no data. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Email access and security
Peerie verifies an email address before activating it on an account. For emailed submissions and questions, we also check the receiving provider’s email-authentication results, including requiring a DMARC pass. These results come from the receiving service rather than authentication claims supplied in a message’s headers. Replies containing account information are addressed to the verified originating email address on that account, not to an alternative Reply-To address supplied in the message.
These safeguards help prevent ordinary email-address spoofing, but they do not prove who personally composed a message. DMARC authenticates use of a sending domain, not an individual mailbox owner. Protection also depends on your email provider properly configuring and enforcing sender authentication, including controlling who can send as your address. Use a reputable email provider with strong account-security controls and enable multifactor authentication where available. Avoid shared or publicly accessible mailboxes for private Peerie content. A compromised mailbox, valid sign-in link, or signed-in device can allow someone else to access your Peerie account and shared content.
Peerie email replies are not end-to-end encrypted. Your email provider and anyone with access to your mailbox or forwarded copies may be able to read them. Deleting content in Peerie does not remove copies already delivered to an email account. Protect each linked mailbox and access link, use multifactor authentication with your email provider where available, and contact [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Shared accounts and other disclosures
Confirmed email addresses on one Peerie account share its saved content, questions, and answers. Only invite someone you trust with that information. An invited address does not gain access until its recipient confirms the invitation. An address already attached to another account cannot join a second account through this feature.
Authorized personnel may access information when needed for support, troubleshooting, security, or legal compliance. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in a business transfer subject to applicable law and continued privacy protections. We do not make your submissions publicly available as part of the service.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information and saved content while needed to provide your account and the purposes described here. You can delete a submission from My Peerie. Deleted submissions stop contributing to new answers and reminders; removal of stored files and derived records then happens in the background.
Deleting a source does not recall emails already delivered or copies other people have saved. Related history, limited security and transaction records, provider records, and backup copies may remain where reasonably needed for security, recovery, disputes, or legal obligations. Backup copies are not used as your active knowledge.
To request account closure, access, correction, a copy of your information, or deletion beyond the in-app controls, contact us below. We may need to verify your identity and consider the rights of other members of a shared account. We handle applicable privacy rights requests under the laws that apply to you.
Cookies and external links
We use essential cookies and similar session technology to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. Our hosting and security providers may use technology needed to deliver and protect the service. External websites you choose to visit have their own policies. When you submit a link, Peerie may retrieve that website or file to add its content to your account.
Children and family information
Peerie accounts are intended for adults, not for children under 18 to operate directly. Adults may submit family or school information they are authorized to provide. We do not knowingly collect account information directly from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account so we can investigate and address it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Peerie changes. We will post the revised date here and provide additional notice when required for material changes. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to:
